On October 24th, The Commonwealth Institute was pleased to host keynote speaker Ann Fudge, former CEO of Young & Rubicam Brands, and Rosabeth Moss Kanter, the Ernest L. Arbuckle Professor of Business at the Harvard Business School, to speak about the Business of Life, Leadership and Legacy.

We also presented the first annual Silverman Awards to three members of The Commonwealth Institute who have demonstrated a commitment to serving their communities and mentoring their colleagues.

Over 400 members of the TCI community joined us for an evening of celebration along with these distinguished guests and the accomplished female leaders of Massachusetts.

Ann Fudge is the former Chairman and CEO of Young & Rubicam Brands, a global network of pre-eminent companies that cover the full range of marketing communications. Her remarkable rise through the ranks of corporate power made her one of the most influential decision-making women in American business and one of the most successful women in the advertising industry.

Among numerous awards and honors, Ann was named by Fortune magazine as one of the 50 most powerful women in American business and most recently received a Lifetime Achievement award from Ebony Magazine.
