A letter from Dorothy Eisenberg, President, TCI Board of Advisors, September 2009
Dear TCI Community:
Summer is gone and Fall is upon us. As we gear back up into work mode, we have been planning our programs for the year. I have been a member of TCI since we first got organized in South Florida 6 years ago and I am proud to stay that I feel this year is one of our strongest programming years ever. As a strategy, we understand our members want quality programs and speakers that will help grow and sustain their businesses. We aim to bring you the highest quality speakers and programs we can.
We start off with Madeleine Albright on October 6th at our Leadership Luncheon. Each year our Leadership Luncheon kicks off the fall season and is our main fundraiser for the year. We have over 300 people confirmed to attend this year’s luncheon and we hope to see you there to hear Ms. Albright’s interesting story about her life in leadership and how her pins became a powerful symbol in her political life.
In November, we have partnered with University of Miami for a joint event featuring Suzy Welch speaking on her book “10-10-10: How will your decisions effect you in 10 minutes, 10 months or 10 years?” Some other major events and speakers include Rosabeth Moss Kanter on her new book “Supercorp: How Vanguard Companies Create Innovation, Profits, Growth, and Social Good” and Alice Schroeder speaking on her book “The Snowball: Warren Buffett and the busienss of life”.
