About the Author
Dr. Ellen Prager is a well known marine scientist and author of popular science and children’s books. She is currently a freelance writer, consultant, and the chief scientist for Aquarius Reef Base, the world's only undersea research station.

She has lived underwater for weeks at a time to conduct research, traveled to exotic locales, and is a frequently requested speaker at national events, on cruise ships, and as an expert for the broadcast media. She has appeared on The Today Show, CNN’s Larry King, ABC’s Good Morning America, the Discovery Channel, & FOX News.
