Coffee & Conversation: Building Business Bridges to Government with Nonnie Burnes

First in a four-part series with Massachusetts regulators and legislators

TCI intends to help our members and sponsors build networks of access to important government decision-makers who affect their businesses through engaging in thoughtful dialogue and discussion outside the contentious scenes of regulation and legislation. These are opportunities to see how public officials think about their duties and understand their approaches to interpreting laws which they administer, and see the countervailing pressures they weigh.

"Government mandates and regulations are a large cost factor and I intend to be involved as much as I can in representing the business point of view."

That's what one TCI member said about her outlook and goals for 2010. To that end, we are pleased to present a new brown bag breakfast series for 2010 - "Building Business Bridges to Government"

Our first program is scheduled for January 12, 2010 from 8:00 – 9:30 am and will feature Nonnie Burnes, former Commissioner of Insurance for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Prior to her service in state government, Ms. Burnes was a partner at Hill & Barlow and then a Superior Court judge. Ms. Burnes will use her experience with auto insurance reform to kick off our discussion. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions specific to their business interests and discuss the issues in a small-group setting.

Space is limited and is open only to current TCI members. Limit one ticket per company.
