A Conversation with Donna Brazile

Special Event

On Friday, October 17, The Commonwealth Institute was pleased to present “A Conversation with Donna Brazile.”  This candid discussion focused on presidential politics, the economy, as well as the hot button issues surrounding women and minorities in politics –  topics extremely relevant to us all as we approach a landmark presidential election  just few short weeks after our event.  Please click here to see photos from this exciting event.

Donna Brazile, one of the most admired and well-known political strategists today, has worked on every presidential campaign since 1984.  She is a regular roundtable guest on ABC-TV’s “Sunday Morning with George Stephanopoulos.”  As campaign manager for the 2000 Gore-Lieberman ticket, Donna made history by becoming the first African American to lead a major campaign. She currently serves as Chair of the Democratic National Committee’s Voting Rights Institute and is a nationally syndicated columnist and political commentator for CNN.

Gloria Larson, president of Bentley College, facililtated the conversation, drawing on her experience as a public policy expert, lawyer and business leader in Boston.

TCI members Andrea Cohen, CEO of Houseworks, and Michele Flynn, President of Expense Management Solutions Inc., shared their “Lessons Learned” to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of women in Boston.
