Attracting, Retaining and Empowering the New Generation Workforce

Sep 18, 2008

We are pleased to host a follow-up program to last year’s program on managing multi-generational issues in the workplace.  This year’s program, with TCI member Dianne Durkin, is based on employing and communicating effectively with staff members across generations.

Date: Thursday, September 18th, 2008
Time: 5:45-8:00 PM
Venue: Day Pitney LLP, One International Place 17th Floor, Boston
Speaker: Dianne Durkin, President, Loyalty Factor LLC
Sponsor: Day Pitney LLP

The Xers (1963-1980), and the Nexters (1980-2000), now make up a large proportion of the workforce, with each group changing the workforce in a different way.  In times of economic crisis, it is crucial for management to understand how to attract, retain and motivate this new generation.  In this session we will discuss the corporate cultures that will land the most desirable candidates.  Once landed, Durkin will discuss how to improve employee retention levels, and how to motivate the younger generation through stimulation, rewards and recognition. Work-life balance is critical for the new generation; come to this session and learn what the work-life balance needs are and what can be done to meet them.
