Beth Williams

Roxbury Technology Corporation

Beth Williams is the CEO, president and owner of Roxbury Technology Corporation an eco-friendly, full service remanufacturer and distributor of recycled toner and ink cartridges. Roxbury Technology is a company committed to providing sustainable printing solutions that are good for the environment and your company’s bottom line.

Beth graduated from Brown University in 1986 and started working for her father’s business Freedom Electronics upon graduation.  After 3 years she then went on to work for Raytheon as a sub-contract administrator and then became Raytheon’s minority business liaison officer for its Missile systems division.  In 1994 Beth accepted a position at Blue Cross and Blue Shield as a purchasing manager before rising to the role of director of Business Diversity for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts.  In late 2002, after her father Archie Williams, founder of Roxbury Technology Corp died suddenly, Beth left Blue Cross & Blue Shield to succeed her father as President and CEO of Roxbury Technology Corporation.

Beth served as the catalyst to Roxbury Technology Corporation’s successful transition from being solely a distributor of toner cartridges to becoming a manufacturer of toner cartridges reaping revenues profits that continue to soar.  Today, Roxbury Technology Corp is a strategic diversity partner of Staples, Inc and is their preferred Diversity supplier for remanufactured toner and ink imaging supplies. Roxbury cartridges are sold through the Staples catalogs and on line at Staplelink.com.

In 2004 Roxbury Technology Corp finished with sales of over $5 million dollars in revenue.  In 2005 Roxbury Technology Corp experienced close to a 100% increase in sales and reached $11 million in revenue. The company continued its strong growth through 2007 and ended the year with revenues in excess of $14million dollars.

Roxbury Technology Corp is what Beth likes to call a Green company committed to sustainability.” We are socially, environmentally and economically responsible. By providing over 40 good wage earning jobs we are contributing to the economic sustainability to the city of Boston; by providing a recycled product we are committing to the sustainability of the environment and by providing an alternative product, to the often overpriced costs of imaging supplies, we provide a cost saving solution. We are making a difference while making a profit.”

Beth’s lists of achievements and awards have been many. To name a few, she became the Hall of Fame winner in 2004 for a start-up business by the Boston Women’s Business Journal. Roxbury Technology Corp has also been named for the past 4 years, as one of the top 20 fastest growing inner city business in America by INC. magazine. In March of 2008, Roxbury Technology won the ICIC urban business award of excellence by INC, magazine. Last year, one of Beth’s most notable awards was the 2007 Emerging Small Business of the year award for Black Enterprise magazine. She was been honored as a “Leading Woman” by several women organizations such as the Girl Scouts of America and the National Association of Black professional and Business women in addition to receiving numerous others. She volunteers on numerous local community boards and is committed to strengthening and developing the community in which she lives and serves.

Her greatest pride though is being a mom. She is single mother of a 13 year old son whose numerous school and sports activities keep her extremely busy.
