Strategies for Success: A Development Program for Emerging and High Potential Managers
In this economy many people have been promoted to management positions, often for the first time. Companies are doing everything they can to provide these new leaders with the training they need to assume a leadership positions within their departments. The Commonwealth Institute's Strategies for Success: A Development Program for Emerging and High Potential Managers is designed to complement these efforts by providing real world situations and a set of tools for these new manag¬ers to be successful. With strategic insight, practical take-aways, and exposure to successful senior executives, this program will be a deep dive into how to manage people.
Now enrolling for Fall 2012! Kicks off October 10, 2012!
Program meets 4x from 7:30am-2:00pm on:
- October 10, 2012
- October 22, 2012
- November 7, 2012
- November 26, 2012
Each participant will have the opportunity to learn and practice specific management skills. The company's management will have the opportunity to identify the skills they feel will be essential for the par¬ticipant to learn. An assess¬ment involving both participant and manager will be conducted midway through the program to ensure that the goals of the company and participant are being met.
This program is unlike others in the market. It is not only informational but also developmental. The Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-360®) is a key component. Research has demonstrated that an individual's Emotional Intelligence is often a more accurate predictor of success than the individual's IQ. Emotionally intelligent people communicate effectively, form strong relationships, and create powerful coping strategies. By identifying the areas that need improvement, the participant can immediately begin developing those areas. At the same time, areas where the participant excels can be leveraged to their full potential to maximize effectiveness in workplace performance.
