Directions to The Commonwealth Institute

We are located on the 10th floor (same building as 155 Federal Street )

Driving

Following are directions to the Post Office Square Parking Garage, plus directions to walk from the garage to The Commonwealth Institute. Parking is also available in garages along Federal Street .

From Points South
From 93 North, take Exit 23 ( Government Center ). Stay left off the exit. You will immediately come to a traffic light after you bear left. Go straight to the third light and make a left onto Congress Street . Go through three sets of traffic lights. The garage entrance is on the left side immediately after you go through the third light at the intersection with Milk Street .

From Points North
From I-93 South, take Exit 23 ( Purchase St., South Station). At the second light make a right onto Pearl Street . Go through two sets of traffic lights and the garage entrance is on your left.

From Points West/Mass Pike (Interstate 90)
Follow the Massachusetts Turnpike (90 East) into Boston . Take Exit 24B to I-93 North to Exit 23, ( Government Center ). Stay left off the exit. You will immediately come to a traffic light after you bear left. Go straight to the third light and make a left onto Congress Street . Go through three sets of traffic lights. The garage entrance is on the left side immediately after you go through the third light at the intersection with Milk Street .

From the Post Office Square garage, The Commonwealth Institute's office is a 5-minute walk. As you come off the escalator from the garage, you'll be facing the Verizon building at 185 Franklin Street . Turn right on Franklin and walk one block, crossing Congress Street , to Federal Street (the Bank of America building is on the corner). Turn left on Federal. Our building is on the right, just past Cosi, at 155 Federal Street, 10th floor.

MBTA directions

The Commonwealth Institute is easily accessible from the Downtown Crossing station on the Orange line, the Park Street station on the Green line, and South Station on the Red line.

From Downtown Crossing , exit to Summer Street. Walking away from Washington Street and the park, follow Summer on the lefthand side to the corner of Summer Street and High Street. Turn left on High Street. The Commonwealth Institute is located at 10 High Street on the 10th floor. This is an approximately 7-minute walk.

From Park Street , exit to Tremont Street . Cross Tremont Street and walk down Winter Street toward the Downtown Crossing area. After Washington Street , Winter Street turns into Summer Street. Follow Summer on the lefthand side to the corner of Summer Street and High Street. Turn left on High Street. The Commonwealth Institute is located at 10 High Street on the 10th floor. This is an approximately 10-minute walk.

From South Station , exit to Summer Street. Follow Summer across Atlantic Avenue to the corner of High Street and Summer Street on your right. Turn right on High Street. The Commonwealth Institute is located at 10 High Street on the 10th floor. This is an approximately 5-minute walk.
