Ten Commandments of Golfing

I would like to offer you some advice which will make you a more enjoyable golf partner. If you follow these Ten Commandments, you will be coveted as a guest:
1. Thou shalt always be on time – it is not like a meeting, there is no “sorry I'm late.” You will forfeit the tee time. It is a game of respect.
2. Thou shalt not talk or move while others in your group are hitting a shot.
3. Thou shalt stand to the side of a player while that person is hitting, never in back or in front.
4. Thou shalt leave the course as you found it, rake the bunkers, replace the divots or fill with sand provided, repair ball marks on the green – once again, respect the course.
5. Thou shalt play with expediency, be prepared when it's your turn to hit, do not loiter or look too long for lost golf balls.
6. Thou shalt not take more than one practice swing.
7. Thou shalt not talk business on the golf course unless a client or superior generates the conversation – save it for the après golf beverage or the appointment that you can arrange.
8. Thou shalt obey the golf cart rules – either on the path, 90' etc. Also, never leave your cart in front of the green, park it to the side or the rear of the green.
9. Thou shalt allow faster groups to play through if you are holding up play, however if you are being harassed by a group in back of you either report it to the ranger or hit the ball back at them!
10. Thou shalt promise to take lessons after you leave here today so that you will improve you game, and promise to return to the LPGA Golf Clinics for Women next year with a friend or associate and place your photo in a prominent place as a reminder!
